Camping

We went camping this last weekend. It was our first trip of the summer. Phil's little sister, Sydney was staying the weekend with us, so it was a great weekened to go. It was Sydney's first camping trip ever! We packed up Ruby Sue (no flat tires :)) and went up the canyon. We just went for Friday night, but it makes me excited for camping season!

Montpelier, Idaho

Every six months my sister, Kassie try to go and stay with my Grandma DD. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my grandmas. We stay with DD and help her clean her house. She has a hard time getting around and there are a lot of things she can't so, she makes us a list and a lot of food and we stay the weekend. It is always a blast! She is the funniest lady I know! I love to hear her stories and all her fuuny sayings! We always have something to talk about, no matter how long we have been sitting there chatting!

We also got to see my mom's parents. My poor little grandma has the beginning stages of Ahlzeimers. (sp?) She still remembers us, but it is so hard to see how sad she is that she forgets the everyday stuff! I got to cut her hair for her while I was there. She was so thankful! My grandpa is taking such good care of her. It is a sad situation! We love her so much and hard to see her unhappy and frustrated!

Kassie and I drove past our old house that we grew up in. It looks a lot different! Jeremy....the tree is for you!! I know I must be getting old, because for some reason, going back to Montpelier felt sentimental!

Mouse

This is gross. But this mouse was living at my house. I saw him run across the floor the other day. So Phil set out 8 (yes 8 for 1 mouse. You have to know Phil to know why this that is funny traps. At 1:00 am I heard the trap SNAP! It's a terrible sound! Well, I am just glad it is dead! It was freaking me out!!

Go Shorty!!

This weekend was my birthday! It was so much fun! My neighbor, Jen made me her homemade sugar cookies. They were so cute I had to take a picture! And yummy!!

On Friday, my friend, Melisa came to stay with me from Boise. It was so much fun to see her. I miss her. We just hung out all day. Then that night, Kelli (who is also visiting from Boise) came over and we made a carbalicious dinner.

Then on Saturday (my b-day) Melisa, Kelli and I ran Provo City half marathon. It snowed the whole time. Not to mention the wind. It was fun, inspite of the weather! We were really glad when it was all over!
Phil and my friend, Rondi came to the finish line to cheer us on, and freeze their butts off! Thanks guys! (And to Grandma Rainey for keeping my kids Friday night so Phil could come. Grandma's are the best!)

Saturday night we had a slumber party at my house with Melisa, Kelli and another friend from Boise, Sara and all thier kids. It was wild! Phil slept in the RV with Bodie to make enough room. We got a babysitter for the kids for a few hours and went to IKEA and then to get dinner! It was fun to leave the kids for a few hours and hang out with the girls! We stayed up late and laughed our heads off! It was great! (Phil was a great sport with a house full of people.)
Sunday I had a family party with all of Phil's family. Grandma Rainey made a yummy dinner and brownie cake.

Bodie: "Mom, when you play t-ball is doesn't matter if you win or loose....it's how many medals you get!"

April 16

Bodie was at a friend's house, so Carlee and I decided to go and get our nails done. While we were there, all the people that work there, were speaking Vietnamese to each other. I was watching Carlee and she had the funniest look on her face. She said (right in front of the lady doing my toes), "Mom, why is she talking silly?"

April 14

We were driving in the car and I was getting after Bodie because I had told him he could bring one toy with us to the doctor and he had snuck another one in his pocket. Carlee said, "Mom, I have something to tell you. You are so annoying!"

I can't wait till she is a teenager:)

March 10

We were babysitting Lily, our cousin and she was in the backseat with Bodie on the way home from school. (She is 4 months). She started fussing, so I asked Bodie if she was getting pissy back there.

He looks at her and says: "Ya looks like she is staring to piss!"

Dec. 30

Phil's mom was going to watch Bodie while we took Carlee to the doctor. We had been at her house the night before and Bodie was being kind of crazy and he kept saying butthead. She got after him a little bit. So before he went back to Grandma's today, I had a talk with him. I said, "Bodie, when you go to Grandma's today, you need to talk nice. Grandma doesn't like it when you talk naughty."

His reply: "Oh, sure she does!!"

Dec. 21

We are laying in and Bodie grabs me, "Mom, I am going to snuggle the crap out of you."

Dec. 9

I am doing Carlee's hair in the bathroom. Bodie was talking to us and said the word 'something', but said it wrong. Carlee says, "Bodie is 'something', not somefing!"

Dec. 3

I was doing laundry and was trying to find some clothes for my kids to wear. I pulled a shirt out of the dryer and threw it outside the door. Bodie comes running in the room pointing his finger at me. "Mom! I saw you throw that! That is not being a good example. I am telling Santa!" He marches out.

Sept. 10

Kassie was nursing baby Grayson and Bodie saw her. "Kassie, is that really necessary?"

Aug. 3

I was heading home with my kids. They were fighting like crazy. Carlee kept bugging Bodie. I told her if she didn't stop I would give her a spanking. Of course, she didn't. We were at a stop light so I smacked her leg. She goes, "Ha ha! Didn't hurt." So I did it again. "Didn't hurt!" I had to turn around not to let her see me laugh. Then Bodie yells, "Mom! Stop this car and spank her hard!!"

July 22

We were hanging out after dinner. Bodie and Carlee were playing fireman. Bodie always makes up "emergencies" that they go to. He was telling Phil and I about one. (He is in such a cute stage right now where when he is telling us about something he goes on and on and on and on.) This was what was he was doing. He was telling us how high the fire was, but then he said something about 4500 legs. I said there were 4500 legs in the fire? Phil starts laughing and tells me that that's how he was measuring the fire. Not with "feet", but with "legs"!

July 22

We went swimming with Phil's cousin who are visiting from Florida. I was taking them home and Bodie wanted to know why they always go to Susan's house. They told him that she was their step mom. After they got out of the car I decided to explain to Bodie a little better. I told him that sometimes moms and dads don't live together, but they are still your mom and dad. Then I told him that Uncle Mark was the boys' dad, but they lived in Florida with thier real mom. Bodie seemed fine with my explanation. But a few minutes later he had a question:

"Are you my real mom?"

July 21

Bodie and I were snuggling talking about the new school year. I told him he couldn't grow up. He pulled my head and whispered in my ear:

"I will still be your baby!"

July 14

When we were in Yellowstone, Carlee was playing with Phil's dad. She stopped and looked at him:

"Grandpa! You have green teeth!" It was so funny. He was convinced he needed to start bleaching.

June 19

I was babysitting my sister's kids so she could go do her glucose test for her pregnancy. As she was leaving Bodie yelled to her, "Kassie, have fun getting your blood taken out!"

June 18

I was planting my garden and Bodie and Carlee were "helping" me. After we got done...

Bodie: "Mom, planting a garden is not as fun as I thought it would be."

June 16

My (pregnant) sister Kassie was at my house. She stood up and I told her that her boobs looked huge. She said, "I am huge! I'm a freakin'....." she paused.

Bodie piped in:"fattty!"

June 9

On Sesame Street they remade the Bob Dylan Song, "Blowin' in the Wind" to say something about counting pigs. Phil and Bodie were driving in his truck. Phil put the real version of the song on for Bodie. He just sat there and listened to it intently. After it was over Bodie said:

"Dad, why are the ants our friends?"

(The answer my friends, is blowin in the wind.....)

June 5

I asked Carlee where she lived. Her reply:

"Lehi, Tootah."

June 2

I was at Girl's Camp for a week. I was talking to Carlee on the phone while I was there. After she got off the phone she said:

"My Mom is in top of a mountain. She might fall off!" It made me sad that that was what she was imaging me on top of a mountain.

May 28

Phil was leaving for work and the kids were yelling bye to him. Bodie: "Don't worry, Dad,I will take care of the womans!"

May 21

Carlee went to the bathroom. She is a "big" girl, so she has to do it all by herself! When she came back I asked if she wiped. Her reply: "No, but that's okay though. I do it next time, okay?"

May 13

I was in my bathroom tweezing my eyebrows. Bodie and Carlee come in and needed me to do them a favor. I told them to hold on for a second. Bodie was annoyed that I was busy. "Mom!! Why are you picking you eyebrows out?" He was so disgusted with me.

May 12

Bodie: "Mom, I really want you to be cool.....but your not."

Bodie and I were outside admiring the flowers we had planted. I said, "They are so dang pretty!" Bodie replied:

"They look so damn good!"

I start laughing and then tell him that there are some words that are not good to say. (I knew he heard it from me) And sometimes Mommy has a hard time with saying bad words and I need him to tell me not to say them. Bodie stopped and said, "Sometimes I have a hard time too."

April 29

I had just gotten dressed for the day (jeans and t-shirt). We were going to the park with Kassie and her kids. Carlee says, "Mom, you look so beautiful!" Bodie says, "Yah, wear that to the park today. Kassie will think you look sexy!"

April 28

We were out to lunch with Lorraine, my mother-in-law. Carlee was telling Lorraine about her teacher. She told her she was so pretty. So Lorraine asked Bodie if his teacher was pretty. Carlee answered for Bodie, "Yes!" Bodie's response:

"She is not! She never wears bows in her hair!" I guess should start wearing bows.....

April 26

Bodie ate four hard boiled eggs. I told him he was going to turn into a chicken if he kept eating eggs. Right after I asked him a question. His reply: "Bock, bock!"

April 25

I was watching my sister, Katie's kids for a couple days. She came to pick them up. She asked Bodie if he had fun with Gavin.

Bodie: "Well, actually, we had a little bit of an accident. Gavin didn't listen to my mom."

We cracked up.

April 15

Bodie and I are laying in bed watching a movie. He turns to me and says: "Mom, you don't smell very good. You should take a shower." I start laughing and he says, "Mom, you really should!" Love his honesty!!

March 25

Bodie was trying to decide what he wanted to drink, and this is what he said to me:

Bodie: "When I feel milkish, it means I want milk. When I feel applish, it means I want apple juice. When I feel orangish, it means I want orange juice. When I feel waterly, it means I want water."

March 22

We were in our RV. The kids and I had just woke up. Phil was still asleep snoring.

Carlee: "Dad sleeps like pig."

March 17

Bodie, his friend, and Carlee were playing out in the backyard. I was in the shower. Bodie comes running in the house, rips open the shower curtain.

Bodie: "Mom, my sister made a bad decision"

Me: "What did she do?"

Bodie: "She is throwing sand out of the sandbox."

Me: "O.K., tell her not to."

Bodie: "O.K."

Bodie is such a rule follower. I love it!

March 11

It was Bodie's birthday.

Bodie: "Mom, I can't believe I am four years old!"
