CARMEL APPLES

I was at the store this week and saw all the carmels by the apples and thought it sounded good to make carmel apples. I have never made them before, but wanted to try.
I was melting the carmel and turned around and my "little helpers" had taken bites out of half the apples.

...but they are cute.

Phil dipping

So my apples didn't turn out. They looked pretty, but they were HARD as a rock!! I thought all you did was melt the carmels and dip the apples. Apparently not. You have to add 2 tablespoons of water to the carmel.
I bought more apples to try again!

SILVER LAKE

We went to Silver Lake, up American Fork Canyon, this last weekend with the Temple family. It was so pretty with all the fall leaves. It was kind of windy though. We had luch and just hung out. The kids LOVED throwing rocks into the water. It was muddy, so the kids got pretty dirty...especially Carlee.

She had mud all up her jeans and on her sleeves.
I love this picture!

LOVES HER DADDY!

Carlee's LOVES her daddy. Whenever he is around, she wants him to do everything for her. She also thinks he is so funny. She laughs at all his jokes and he justs eats it up. It is pretty cute!

SMILE!!

When I take pictures and tell my family to smile....this is what I get.

The return of Cowboy Bodie

Many of you have seen this a million times (Kassie...sorry). But when Bodie was really into cowboy this spring, his favorite movie was 'Pure Country' with George Strait. He would always sing the song Heartland from the movie. He hasn't done it much lately, but today he pulled out his guitar today and was jammin. I had to share. He sings with so much energy, it kills me!(Pause the music on the side.)

Tagged by Shannon....

1. I had my appendix out when I was 5.
2. My nickname to my family is Jute.
3. I had my nose and belly button pierced during a more rebellious time of my life. Classy...I know!
4. I love suprises of all kinds. My sister Kassie always teases me about this. Like when I am going to home to visit my mom and she calls to ask where we are at in our trip, I tell her I am not as far as I am so that I can suprise her. I am a dork.
5. I have a geographical tongue. Less than 10% of the population has this.
6. I think about what I am going to be for Halloween all year long.
7. I was a tattle tail as a kid. Jeremy and Katie would hurt me on a regular basis, telling me I better not tell on them....but I still did:) Jeremy even picked me up by the neck once!

GEORGE

This is George. He will be sitting on our front porch over the Halloween holiday season. Phil and I put him togehter and Bodie named him. (Thakns Phil for letting George borrow some clothes!)He's been there a couple days, but still catches me off guard when I walk out the front door and see him out of the corner of my eye.....especially at night.

PUMPKIN PAINTING

Kassie and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch on Monday. They all picked out thier own pumpkins. Then that night we got together and painted our pumpkins. Carson had to taste the paint...just to make sure. They turned out cute, and the kids had a blast!
At the pumpkin patch

Beautiful!!

Carlee loves painting, coloring, writing...anything like that. Even drawing on my walls has been a favorite. (not of mine of course)

Lots of pictures

Bodie poured her LOTS of paint while I stepped out of the room.
You can't really see how much there really is.
